Mark Ball

It was best bib and tucker time once again on the occasion of the Provincial Ball at The Foxfields Country Hotel situated in the delightful Ribble valley near Clitheroe.
Once again Alan Foster was the main organiser with considerable assistance from his wife Helen. Others too played a significant part in making the event such a success. Sandra Berkley provided the seat covers and designed the table centre pieces. Steve Walls had the important role of looking after the finances. Many others chipped in, too many to mention and not all known to me. But on behalf of all who attended the ball can I say that their efforts are very much appreciated.
Once again the music to accompany those of a Terpsichorean inclination was provided by “Pyramid.”
I believe the popular event was nearly fully subscribed with only a couple of places available. Such is the demand for the hotel rooms that the following morning, before breakfast, the first stop was at reception to book a room for next year. There will be a slight change in the normal date with 2020 seeing it being held on the 31st October.
Rooms will sell out quickly so if you fancy coming along to an evening spent in good company enjoying good food, wine and a jig or two then do not delay making your reservation.
